Backyard Bugs (ages 6+)
Explore the wonderful world of insects and study these amazing creatures. Campers will be introduced to the major groups of insects, insect anatomy, and then will become entomologists, many of whom work with insect collections. Utilizing their insect identification skills, campers will collect insects and make note of their findings. They will learn about the study of insects in museum collections and practice organizing insects and making a nature journal like they are preparing an insect collection. All insects will be safely released at the end of camp.

Fantastic Fishes (ages 6+)
Explore the world of fishes (yes, fishes!) by looking for, collecting, and identifying fishes commonly found in the area. After a crash course in local fishes and fish anatomy, learn about and practice seining from shore, using a wide net to safely collect live fish. Get the opportunity to handle fish, learning techniques on fish handling, safe for both humans and fish. Campers will practice fish identification and make note of what kinds of fish their observations! All fish will be collected with a permit and safely released at the end of camp.

Rocket Fun (ages 6+)
3, 2, 1, BLAST OFF!!! Design, build and launch a 1 liter or 2 liter bottle rocket using water and a compressor along with a straw rocket and hold friendly rocket competitions.
